Anth 100 — Introduction to Anthropology 3

A survey of the basic theories, methods, and findings of paleontology, human prehistory, and culture. Taught as needed.

Anth 200 — Introduction to Physical Anthropology 3

A survey of archeological techniques for interpreting past life ways and material remains, with a focus on historical archeology. Taught as needed.

Anth 350 — Forensic Anthropology 3

Observations and measurements of the human skeleton; variations based on age, sex, race, and pathologies; the identification of human skeletal material and other projects. Lab sessions are included in the class. Offered on the basis of student and faculty interest.

Anth 296, 496 — Internship in Anthropology 3-6, 3-6

Students are placed in agencies which apply the methods and content of anthropology for the purpose of gaining insight into the connection between academic study and work experiences. The methods which students use to report on their experiences varies by instructor. The number of hours spent as an intern depends on the number of credits. Offered on the basis of student and faculty interest.

Readings and appropriate related projects in single areas of anthropology. Offered on the basis of student and faculty interest.

Anth 299, 499 — Anthropological Field Methods Variable Credit

Field training in archeology and/or social anthropology. Offered on the basis of student and faculty interest.
