The Global
Leadership Program brochure (Mongolian)
Program Description and Objective
The
purpose of the Global Leadership Program (GLP) is to
provide opportunities for dedicated Mongolian students
who desire to study at a progressive, student-centered
American university. The vision of the program is to
develop leaders who are prepared to compete in the rapidly
globalizing world and are committed to devote their professional
lives towards future development of Mongolia. The selection
process is highly competitive and selected candidates
will be granted scholarships equivalent to sixty-two
(62%) percent of their tuition fees. The scholarship
is renewable up to 5 years based on successful completion
of academic and program requirements.
Tuition & Scholarships:
Tuition/Fee: $10,560 (2006-2007 academic year)
Program Scholarship: $6,035 (for the first year)
Study Options
GLP provides international students with an opportunity
to undertake a four-year undergraduate degree program with
an option of two-year associate degrees. Please contact our
representative for 2005-2006 academic year programs offered
at our partner universities.
Requirements and Eligibility:
- Completed high school with a minimum requirement of B
or above.
- A minimum score of 525 on the paper based TOEFL examination (195 on the computerized based version or 70 on the internet based version). An IELTS of 5.0 may be considered. The tests must be taken within the last two years.
- Two recommendation letters demonstrating potential for
leadership and community service. Students applying for
the Global Leadership Program must have demonstrated academic
excellence in their previous schooling.
- A short essay (500 – 1000 words) outlining the
role of international education and leadership in reaching
your career aspirations and how your experience in the
United States will contribute to the future development
of Mongolia.
- Proof of financial resources to live and study in the
U.S.
