“Walk of Pride”

The Dickinson State University Foundation, in commemoration of its 50th Anniversary of service to the University (1952-2002), commissioned an International Flag Plaza as a major beautification enhancement to the campus.  Located between the Student Center and Selke Hall, the International Flag Plaza features the flags representing the various countries of our international students and alumni at DSU, thus paying tribute to our ongoing commitment to global awareness.

Pictured below are the flags of our international students and alumni at DSU for the 2007 academic school year.

In addition to the flags, the Walk of Pride features recognition items such as personalized pavers, flag poles, benches, trees, flowers and other greenery that pay tribute to alumni and friends.  The recognition pavers come in two different sizes and colors to buy as a tribute or a gift for faculty, staff, alumni or friends to make a lasting legacy at DSU.

The Flag Plaza serves as a cornerstone of campus activities.  It serves as a venue for students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the University to gather for educational forums, the arts, receptions, and reunions.
