EBSCOhost Basic Searching for Academic Libraries
This 3.4 minute EBSCOhost tutorial makes use of flash video to illustrate basic searching in EBSCOhost databases.  Accompanying the video is spoken audio that explains each step being conducted.  The video is very easy to follow and understand, and does allow the user to pause or fast forward as needed.  This is a good tutorial for any user who has or will use an EBSCOhost database.

CSU Libraries: Academic Search Premier Tutorial Information 
This Colorado State University tutorial is specific to the Academic Search Premier database.  The tutorial takes only about 3-5 minutes, but discusses the purpose of Academic Search Premier and how to utilize it to find information.  The tutorial, essentially a flash video, begins with information specific to CSU, but does continue to vividly illustrate the concepts and usage of the database.

CSU Libraries: Five Steps to Better Research Tutorial Information
This 3-5 minute Colorado State University tutorial provides users with information to aid in better research.  The tutorial utilizes flash animation to help illustrate the topics: think about your topic, define your main concepts, think of synonyms, think of broader terms, and think of narrower terms.  Although humorous, the tutorial provides valid and useful information for students and bettering their research.
CINAHL Tutorial
This tutorial provided by the University of Florida provides in-depth explanation on how to utilize the CINAHL database.  The tutorial provides detailed examples and tutorials of the different aspects of the CINAHL database.  Users of CINAHL would greatly benefit from viewing this tutorial to more efficiently navigate the database.
Health & Wellness Resource Center
This page is a guided tour explaining the use of the Health & Wellness Resource Center.  The tutorial utilizes animation to visually instruct users on how to best utilize the site.  Included are directions for basic searching in addition to some of its more advanced features.  For users interested in efficiently utilizing the Health & Wellness Resource Center, this guided tour is an excellent place to begin. 
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
This page is a guided tour explaining the use of the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center.  The tutorial utilizes animation to visually instruct users on how to best utilize the site.  Included are directions on basic and advanced searching in addition to other additional features.  For users interested in efficiently utilizing the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center, this guided tour is the place to begin. 
Oxford Reference Online
The purpose of this page is to provide users with instructions on the use and navigation of Oxford Reference Online.  “Oxford Reference Online: The Core Collection is an authoritative and indispensable research resource bringing together 100 of Oxford's renowned dictionary and reference titles across more than 20 subject areas into a single cross-searchable database for the first time.”   
UCSC NetTrail: Information Literacy Tutorials
This information literacy tutorial provided by the University of California Santa Cruz is intended to help students “discover how to find, evaluate and use information effectively and ethically.”  The NetTrail follows a digital path in which the different aspects of information literacy are discussed, including sources of information, choosing a topic, using the library, information ethics, etc.  Some of the information is specific to USCS students, but the majority of the page is useful for all users.

American University Library: Information Literacy Tutorial
This information literacy tutorial provides useful information for all users.  Sections are included for choosing a topic, search strategies, evaluating and citing information, etc.  The tutorial takes approximately one hour and is very easy to navigate and utilize.  Although graphics are used minimally, the most important concepts are highlighted in red to aid the user.

Library Research Guide
Although some information from this research guide is specific to Stony Brook University students, much of the information is useful and suitable for all users.  The page provides instructions spanning the entire research process, beginning with choosing a topic and continuing through identifying sources, finding articles, using the web, etc.  The modules are extremely user-friendly and utilize appealing graphics and flash animations to enhance the learning experience. 
Research 101
Research 101 is an interactive tutorial intended to give students an introduction to basic research skills.  The module contains six units with each containing “its own set of objectives, information, and exercises.”  The units contain helpful quizzes and worksheets to help facilitate understanding and awareness of the topics. 

Internet Research Tutorials
This research tutorial focuses on helping students with the research of electronic information.  The site actively utilizes interactive flash animation to enhance the learning experience.  In addition to three main tutorials on selecting, searching, and evaluation information, this site also includes links to external database-specific tutorials, including Academic Search Premier, InfoTrac OneFile, net Library, etc.   

Bruin Success With Less Stress
This light-hearted but informational site provides students with tips and information about intellectual property, file sharing, citation and documentation of resources, surviving a busy semester, and academic dishonesty.  Each section provides important information and includes interactive content to help facilitate learning and understanding.  The information is presented in a simple to use, easy to understand fashion.
 Searchpath: WMU Library Tutorial
Although sponsored by Western Michigan University Libraries, Searchpath also provides guest access for all users.  This tutorial is intended to help users better locate and evaluate information from the Internet.  Included are graphics and flash animations to help illustrate the topics.  Each of the six modules takes 15-20 minutes to complete, and include a short quiz to help in understanding the information.

This brief Colorado State University tutorial provides users with information for conducting research on the Web.  The tutorial utilizes audio and flash animation to help illustrate its topics, and is extremely easy to follow.  A humorous robot serves as a guide as the user learns about better ways to conduct research on the Web.  This tutorial serves to simultaneously entertain and instruction its users.

This 3-5 minute Colorado State University tutorial provides students with important information for evaluating the authority of informational web sites in order to better select high quality Internet resources.  The page utilizes audio and flash animation as a robot guide serves to explain how to best evaluate web sites.  This tutorial serves to simultaneously entertain and instruction its users.
Vaughan Memorial Library: Searching with Success
Vaughan Memorial Library provides a flash driven animation with the purpose of helping users search the web more efficiently with better results.  Specifically, this interactive tutorial teaches web search terminology, web search skills, mysteries of the web, and where to get help.  The site is entertaining and extremely easy to understand, while containing a wealth of useful web search information.
Vaughan Memorial Library: Credible Sources Count
This Vaughan Memorial Library interactive tutorial takes on the issue of identifying the credibility of resources.  Through the use of flash animation, this lesson teaches the user to critically evaluate information, use criteria to determine credible web sources, spot other reliable sources, and where to get help.  The visually appealing nature of this tutorial allows the user to easily understand the excellent information within.
